Rest in Peace..Grandma!!

Death is always a weird thing for me because I can't wrap my brain around the fact that someone I love has departed. I am really scared of receiving the calls in odd times from parents or my relatives (i.e. Early morning or Late nite). Yesterday Dec 15th @10.30pm , i received a call from Paa and started asking about my dinner and stuff, but never came to the point. I asked him tell me what happened and he said Grandma(Mom's mom) expired. Oh God!! She is no more... i wasn't very good at taking bad news especially death well. Although we expected it for past days i couldn't bear that. I never knew death could bring on such a flurry of emotions. We are quickly approaching Grandma’s funeral and i am finding myself less and less interested in the real world. But she was Ninety-six and lived a very full life on the planet, is wise. I failed to give my last respect to her for the funeral, today Dec 16th @11am. Missing a lot....I regret not being there because it would have been the last time I ever saw, since 2+years(Met her on 18th Sept, 2007). I am completely unmotivated to do anything today.

It was really interesting watching her, because she just wouldn't die yet. Not to make that kind of impression when you read that sentence that I want her to die (well, in a sense I do, just because she was suffering so much and I don't want her to suffer anymore). In-fact she was actually waiting for something. I felt that God had finally stopped her pains and given her the very comfort she needed most.I felt that she was freed from every suffering on earth. I guess things just fall into it's place.

My relationship with her is a special one. I remember her telling me how proud she was of me. And I'll never forget the TIME I made her to like me a lot by Joining Engineering course, Getting a job and taking care of my family. She felt a strong concern for me always and telling - "Neenu gandu maga namma family ge..anthaa"(You are the son of our family). I had bought a Saree since my Sis marriage and never got a chance to personally go and handover her.. I would have saved my Grandma's Life by seeing her in a dream, dead!!!(I heard that if a person dies in a dream, than his life is extended by an year or they have a long life). I always had unusual dreams like ds many a times but these days never found time for Grandma...as occupied with something else.

Yes, the funeral process is completed 12.50pm today!!

"Eternal rest grant unto her, O Lord. May the soul of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace"

Love you Grandma!!!

Reading the blog shows how much you miss your Grandma.
"She's with you every day, the sun, the moon, the wind, the stars, will forever be around,
reminding you of the love you shared and the peace she's finally found."
